Overview
At MakeMyKankotri (www.makemykankotri.in), we strive to provide the highest quality digital invitation services. This policy outlines our cancellation and refund procedures clearly and transparently so you can make informed decisions before purchasing.
1. Nature of Our Services — Digital Delivery
All MakeMyKankotri products are digital services delivered immediately upon purchase. When you purchase a template:
- Your personalized invitation is created instantly upon successful payment
- You receive immediate, full access to customize and share your invitation
- All features (voice greetings, animations, RSVP tracking, sharing) are activated immediately
- The service is considered fully delivered at the moment your invitation is created
Because of the immediate and complete nature of digital delivery, our refund policy is governed accordingly.
2. No Refund Policy
All purchases are final and non-refundable once payment is completed and your invitation has been created.
By completing a purchase, you expressly acknowledge and agree that:
- You have previewed the template design prior to purchase
- You understand the features included in the price
- You consent to the immediate delivery of the digital service
- You waive any right to cancellation or refund that may otherwise apply to physical goods or services not yet delivered
This policy is consistent with applicable Indian consumer protection regulations regarding digital goods and services that have been fully delivered with consumer consent prior to the expiry of any cancellation period.
3. Exceptions — When Refunds May Be Considered
We will consider refund requests only in the following strictly defined circumstances:
3.1 Technical Failure by MakeMyKankotri
- Payment was successfully charged but your invitation was not created due to a platform error
- Payment was charged twice (duplicate transaction) for the same invitation due to a system error
- The platform was completely unavailable at the time of payment and the service was not delivered
3.2 What Does NOT Qualify for a Refund
- Change of mind after purchase
- Dissatisfaction with template design (templates are fully previewable before purchase)
- Failure to use the invitation after creation
- Accidental purchase (please preview and confirm carefully before paying)
- Technical issues on your device, browser, or internet connection
- Issues caused by third-party services (WhatsApp, social media platforms, etc.)
4. How to Request a Refund (Exceptions Only)
If you believe your situation qualifies under Section 3, submit your request within 7 days of purchase:

Subject Line: "Refund Request — [Your Order ID]"
Include in your email:
- Full name and registered email address
- Order number or transaction ID
- Date and time of purchase
- Detailed description of the issue
- Screenshots or documentation supporting your claim
We will investigate and respond within 5–7 business days. Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 7–10 business days thereafter.
5. Before You Purchase
We strongly encourage you to:
- Preview the template fully before completing payment — all template designs are available to view before purchase
- Review the price — all prices are displayed clearly before checkout with no hidden charges
- Confirm your event details — your invitation is created immediately after payment
- Check compatibility — ensure you can view and interact with the invitation on your preferred device before purchasing
6. What Happens After Purchase
Once your payment is confirmed:
- Your invitation is created immediately from the selected template
- You receive full access to customize all invitation details
- All features are enabled: voice greetings, animations, RSVP tracking, and sharing
- Your shareable links are active instantly
- The transaction is complete and the service is fully delivered
Creating a new invitation from the same or any other template requires a new purchase at the applicable template price.
7. Subscription & Future Services
For any subscription-based services that may be introduced in the future:
- You may cancel at any time before the next billing cycle via your account settings
- No refunds are issued for partial billing periods already paid
- Access to subscription features continues until the end of the current paid billing period
8. Disputed or Unauthorized Charges
If you notice a charge you do not recognize:
- Contact us immediately at contact@makemykankotri.in
- Provide your transaction ID, date, and amount
- We will investigate and respond within 5 business days
- If the charge is confirmed as unauthorized or erroneous, we will process a full refund promptly
9. Alternatives to Refunds
Where a refund does not apply but you have encountered a genuine issue, we may at our sole discretion offer:
- Account Credit: A credit equivalent to the purchase amount, applicable toward your next template purchase
- Template Switch: A change to a different template of equal or lesser value, subject to request being made before the original invitation is customized or shared
- Technical Support: Our team will assist in resolving any technical issues with your invitation at no additional charge
These alternatives are offered on a goodwill basis and do not constitute an admission of liability or obligation.
10. Event Date & Invitation Lock Policy
Once your event date has passed, your invitation is automatically locked and can no longer be edited. This measure protects against misuse and ensures invitations serve their intended purpose.
- Locked invitations remain viewable to guests who have the link
- No modifications can be made to locked invitations
- Plan and finalize your invitation content carefully before sharing widely
11. Statutory Rights
This policy does not limit or exclude any statutory rights you may have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (India) or other applicable consumer protection legislation. Where statutory rights provide entitlements that cannot be waived by contract, those rights remain unaffected.
12. Policy Updates
We reserve the right to modify this policy at any time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
